What Unleash Is

Unleash is Qasa’s embodied pleasure retreat series for gay men. These are immersive, heart led experiences designed to explore the body as a source of pleasure, wisdom, and connection in a judgment free, clothing optional environment grounded in consent and safety. Through touch, movement, breath, play, and guided practice, guests reconnect with aliveness, intimacy, and self trust.

Embodied Pleasure

Pleasure as presence, not performance.

Consent Culture

Clear boundaries, choice, pacing, and respect are part of the experience.

Queer Centered Space

A space designed for gay men to be real, relaxed, and fully themselves.

Nature + Nervous System

Jungle air, waterfall days, and a setting that supports softness and honesty.

Take It Home

What happens here is meant to support real life, not stay at the retreat.

Two Paths Inside Unleash

Unleash includes two retreat formats. Both are grounded in consent, embodiment, and queer connection. The difference is in the depth and type of erotic exploration.

Bodywerk:

A touch centered retreat focused on massage, breath, movement, and body awareness. Bodywork is about learning to give and receive deeply satisfying full body touch in a safe, consent based space. It is centered on skill building, presence, and connection.

Best for men who want a softer, touch led entry into embodied pleasure. 💆‍♀️

When:

July 19 – 25, 2026

Conscious Kink:

A deeper erotic exploration for men who feel called to ritual, polarity, power, and edge in a highly consent based container. This path includes more advanced partnered exploration, always clearly held, fully opt in, and grounded in care.

Best for men who are already curious about erotic edge and want a more advanced container. 🔥

When:

May 3 – 9 / Dec 6 – 12, 2026

Both retreats are clothing optional, queer centered, and built around boundaries, choice, and felt safety.

Research Spotlight: Psychedelics & LGBTQ+ Wellbeing

We proudly partnered on a prospective naturalistic study exploring the impact of a 7 day psychedelic retreat experience for LGBTQIA+ participants.

This research matters because queer communities have long been underrepresented, and at times harmed, in psychedelic spaces. Our role in this work reflects Qasa’s commitment to safety, inclusion, and experiences designed with queer people in mind.

Key Findings:

Mental Health

Participants reported significant reductions in depression, anxiety, and stress - improvements that persisted at the three-month follow-up.

Quality of Life

Measures of psychological, social, and environmental wellbeing all increased, with many describing a greater sense of stability, purpose, and joy in daily life.

Spiritual Connection

Many experienced a deepened sense of meaning, connection to something larger, and a renewed relationship with their own inner wisdom.

Self-Compassion & Authenticity

Participants reported feeling more comfortable in their identities, more self-accepting, and more willing to express their authentic selves.

Beyond the numbers, personal accounts revealed themes of belonging, liberation from shame, and profound emotional release. Many participants described the retreats as life-changing, offering both immediate breakthroughs and tools for continued growth.

This section shares findings from one prospective naturalistic study. Our retreats are non medical experiences for personal and spiritual development, and we do not diagnose, treat, or guarantee outcomes.

Alex Sloan

Alex Sloan (he/him) is a San Francisco–based kinkster, facilitator, and longtime explorer of pleasure, power, and embodiment. For over 25 years, Alex has been deep in kink—as a bator, fister, and curious student of sensation—not just to learn the how, but to explore the why: why kink opens us, why pleasure tells the truth, and why the body remembers what the mind can’t.

Alex’s work lives where kink meets meaning. Alex is drawn to the edges—control and surrender, shame and release, intimacy and autonomy—and uses intentional touch, ethical polyamory, and embodied practices to help queer men drop performance and come home to themselves.

Outside the play space, Alex has spent decades building leadership programs and transformational learning experiences in the world of philanthropy and social impact.
Alex splits time between San Francisco and Costa Rica, and feels most alive in spaces where honesty is hot, sensation is sacred, and pleasure gets to lead.

Known for his grounding presence and deep intuition, Mike skilfully weaves together multiple practices to help people experience greater inner peace, freedom, and empowerment. His retreats, workshops and sessions are described as powerful, nurturing, and insightful-held with professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to helping others shine and thrive.
